Calvados Distillary - Milly is 15 minutes away and offers a free tour and tasting.
Golf - 10 mintues drive away at Vire. The golf course looks out over Lac de la Dathee where it is possible to take part in water sports.
Walking and Cycling - There are stunning country walk ways that run from La Belle Petite Maison that take you up into the woods opposite and to a small chapel in a clearing. Or for the more adventurous you can pick up the 'Voire Vert' the 'Green Way' nearby, a disused railway track converted to a walk way and cyclist path.
Mont St Michel - The second most popular turist attraction in France and a spectactular landmark, which, on a clear day can be seen from the cottage garden. Throughout the year there are music festivals and concerts held at Mont St Michel. This is 40 minutes drive away.

Villedieu-les-Poles - The famous medival copper and brass exporting town which has an excellent weekly market on a Tuesday.
Champrepus Zoo - 5 minutes drive from Villedieu. A beautifully landscaped zoo and gardens which walks you through different nations and end with a large childs play area and restaurant.

Jersey - You can jump on the daily morning ferry from Granville ( 40 minutes drive ) and head off for a day in Jersey.
